Shutter speed. That other magic component of controlling the amount of light reaching your pixels (or film for us fossils). But determining light is only the most basic job for this tool. This workshop will forever clear up the nagging question of "What difference does it all make which speed I use?" We will discuss what longer exposure times create, and the importance of making very short exposures. You will learn why the bigger numbers mean a shorter duration. And most importantly, how to make the determination which shutter speed to use to make your photograph.
There will be an assignment geared to displaying your newfound knowledge. And of course the requisite group critique in order to impress your fellow workshop-aholics, and to have it pointed out just how much you have yet to learn.
