Come "play" and discover a whole new world of unlimited possibilities with creative close-ups that go way beyond documentation.  This hands-on 1-day workshop will be taught by award-winning Seattle-based professional fine art nature photographer, Charles Needle, who will guide you every step of the way with enthusiastic and knowledgeable instruction.

Charles will share techniques he uses to make artistic macro images and introduce exercises to help unlock your creative potential.  The class begins with an information-packed, illustrated digital slide lecture, followed by several classroom demonstrations and personalized 1-on-1 instruction.  Topics covered will include: creative composition & lighting, macro fundamentals and necessary equipment.  In addition, Charles will teach you more advanced topics, such as using props and other tools to enhance your macro photography, soft-glow and composite montaging, impressionistic multiple-exposure close-ups and other creative camera techniques.

Charles is a highly acclaimed photographer who specializes in flower/garden photography and teaches more than a dozen workshops nationwide and abroad, including many here in the Pacific Northwest and also exotic locations such as Monet's Garden in Giverny, France (with private access!).  His award-winning images showcase his unique eye for design and artistic interpretation.  A charter member of NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association) and Fuji Film Talent Team member, Charles' work has also appeared in publications such as Nature's Best magazine and Inner Reflections engagement calendar.  He is the author of a new eBook, entitled "Creative Macro Photography: Professional Tips & Techniques."
