On Monday, October 12th, we held another workshop at the Northern State Mental Hospital in Sedro Woolley, WA.   Some of the older buildings were abandoned (literally) in the 70's.  They are usually closed to the public, so I made special arrangements in August to do a 'Absence of LIght' workshop on the grounds.  The workshop was so well received that the when I asked if anyone wanted to go inside they all raised their hands.  I made the arrangements, and on Oct. 12th we were given a tour of the Nurse's Quarters, the Chapel, and the old Hospital.

Our photography assignment was 'Illustration'.  Our images were to illustrate what we were feeling at the time as we wondered these old abandoned buildings.  Most of what we felt was loneliness, abandonment, forgotten, sadness, and amazement.
